The apartment

Our "Hut 27" is a natural wooden cabin, a semi-detached hut with two separate apartments: Louisa and Paul. It stands on the Duxeralm at around 1,600 m, only about 300 m from the lift and cross-country trail. Each apartment sleeps 4.

Louisa has a living and dining room with radio and TV, plus a small alcove with a large wardrobe and a sofa bed. A small wooden ladder leads up to the sleeping loft for 2: very cosy and rustic, but without standing height. A second small room has 2 single beds set at a corner and a large wardrobe.

The kitchenette has a 4-ring hob, oven, fridge with freezer compartment, coffee machine, kettle and toaster (no microwave). The hut has only a very small shower room with WC. The parking space is right in front of the hut, and there is a south-facing veranda, a garden in front of and behind the hut and our hut beach chair. The hut is not isolated but surrounded by other houses and huts. Peace and quiet are still guaranteed.

Good to know

• Check-in from 2 pm, check-out by 10 am (high season and Christmas: Saturday arrival, min. 7 nights; otherwise any day, min. 3 nights).
• Bed linen & towels: bring your own or hire a set for €15 per person (duvets & pillows provided). Please also bring toilet paper, kitchen roll and small bin bags.
• Recommended: torch, slippers and snow chains in winter.
• Payment: 30% deposit on booking, balance 30 days before arrival. Final cleaning, electricity/water and tourist tax are charged on top (see prices).
• Dogs: 1 dog by arrangement, €10 per day.
• Unfortunately the apartment is not wheelchair accessible.

Prices & extra costs

Location in Hochkrimml

Hochkrimml sits at around 1,600 m on the Gerlos Pass, right on the border between Salzburg and Tyrol, and consists of the hamlets Filzstein, Duxeralm and Silberleiten. Königsleiten is about 3 km away, Krimml about 10 km. The snow-sure area is ideal for families and beginners, with three restaurants and two sports shops with ski hire. The lift and cross-country trail are only about 300 m away, and with good snow you can ski back to the door. In summer, hiking trails start right outside.
